Hi everyone.
this is my 1st blog here so I hope I am doing this right. I am a 49 year old grandmother of 6 wonderful grandchildren and mother of 3 wonderful girls. I have been struggling with obesity for around 10 years now and it is gradually getting worse.
On Aug 25th 2010 I will be going thru gastric bypass thru Dr Zeni at St. Marys Hospital in Livonia Mich. After much contemplating on this I have found myself in need of this surgery and needing to once again be healthy.
I have not always been overweight, but actually once was a bit on the overly skinny side. I don't want that I just want to be healthy again.
My health has diminished in the last 10 years to the point of partial wheelchair use. And if I am not using that I am using a quad cane. I feel 90 some days. I take more pills then my grandmother ever thought of taking. Shoot I'm on oxycodone for pain and cannot touch it.
OK. Soooo, I am hoping to keep everyone updated as much as possible on what is going on from now till surgery and beyond. I hope you all follow and keep me in your prayers.
I will post videos as they come up too.

You are in my prayers. Congrats on giving up the cigs...woohoo! You are doing the best for you & I applaud you!! So good to hear your voice & see your lovely face. I know this is the best thing for you. I have another friend who has done this & it has made the biggest difference in her life. God is with you and I know that together you will do well.
